Dorothy Parker (1893-1967) is the QUEEN of witty one-liners often with a dark undertone. The writer and poet was banned from writing NYC theatre reviews at one point because she was deemed too acerbic and critical. The critics didn't stop her from writing in her authentic tone and she went on to write for Vanity Fair, VOGUE, and The New Yorker. She remains a legend and I highly recommend the movie "Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle" to get a blast of her uniqueness.
